Beloved Master Jesus, You who taught us to pray, hear our plea.

Allow us to learn that Your cause is the love that You exemplified and that, for this very reason, we are all sheep of Your cote.

Sheep separated in the world by of our differences, our own ideas, our way of seeing the world. But all deserving of Your same care.

Remembering that You left the stars to wander the world, by our side; You chose a modest and quiet place, in a stable, to be born, help us in the exercise of humility.

You who taught forgiveness to the very executioners, more than in the words of to forgive seventy times seven, expels resentment, hurt, hatred from our lives.

Clear our minds in the understanding that we are all brothers, children of the same Father, therefore, it is inadmissible that we harbor prejudice of color, nationality or any other.

And, because You taught us to pray in the intimacy of ourselves, with our hearts as our altar, do not allow us to build walls of misunderstanding in the name of worship, religion or any other way of naming the Almighty.

May the name of God serve only to unite us, never to establish wars or separation.

You who have said that there is no stone to lay our heads on, although birds have nests and snakes have dens, help us to detach ourselves from the goods of the world.

May we have the wisdom to use them while we are on our way, for our on well-being. And also for the good of our brothers and sisters. 

May we not be overcome by the intoxication of possession, may we know how to enjoy, share, and distribute.

May we be able to come down from our tower of selfishness and isolation, to live with those who need bread, shelter, and medicine.

And need also our smiles, our cordiality, and our comfort a lot.

There is so much to do in the world, Lord. Sometimes, because we consider ourselves so insignificant, we simply retreat into our own smallness.

 May we understand that no one is so small that they have nothing to offer. Or so poor in resources that they cannot offer a flower, a handshake, a few moments of their time.

We long so much for a better world, while the news tells us of evil, violence, of brothers turning into wolves to their brothers.

However, Jesus, we forget that changing the situation depends only on us, on each one of us.

Therefore, gives us new courage, nourishes our hope and strengthens our desire to serve in goodness.

Take our hands and turn them into workers of good, changing the sad landscape into a garden, the desert into an oasis.

We know that this is possible because You told us that everything You did, we could do in the same way and much more.

And in less than three years, You left such an immortal message, rich in words and examples, that You became the divider between two times.

We want to follow Your example. We want to be active servers of Your harvest.
