Many people live their lives here on Earth without even thinking about what they will come across after death.

Others, on the contrary, live in constant agony, insecure about their attitudes, imagining what God will think about their behaviour here on Earth.

Others still prefer to enjoy life’s pleasures, leaving these things to be thought about later, when they get old.

We know we are immortal spirits, but many human beings do not live as such. Even knowing that life in the physical body is fragile and ephemeral, many prefer to live as if it was eternal.

As they feel that the end of the line is getting closer, people get desperate, trying to find the right answers, in case God reproaches them for something.

However, God is not an implacable judge, waiting your arrival at the other end with your life’s book on His hand to write down your mistakes and what you got right.

God is in your conscience, through the laws engraved by Him.

Therefore, you will have a court who will ask about what you have done with all the things that were offered to you to guide your physical body. This court is your own conscience.

Thus, if we call our conscience God, because He is what represents the divine laws, we can already guess what God will not ask us.

God will not ask you what car you had, but He will ask you how many people who were in need of help you transported.

God will not ask you the size of your house, but He will ask you how many people you sheltered.

God will not ask you about the clothes in your wardrobe, but He will ask you how many people you clothed.

God will not ask you about the amount of material wealth you own, but He will want to know how much it controlled your life.

God will not ask you how much was your highest salary, but He will ask you if you committed your character to gain it.

God will not ask you how many promotions you obtained during your life, but He will ask you in what way you promoted others.

God will not ask what position you had, but He will ask you if you did your work the best way you could.

God will not ask how many friends you had, but He will ask you how many of your friends could count on you.

God will not ask what you did to protect your rights, but He will ask you what you did to guarantee other people’s rights.

God will not ask you in what neighborhood you lived in, but He will ask you how you treated your neighbors.

God will not ask you for how long you lived on Earth, but (He will ask you) what you did with the time you had.

God will not ask you who your family was, but He will ask you about your relationship with them.

God will not ask you if there were obstacles on your way, but He will ask you about the efforts you made to get over them.

God will not ask you about the inheritance you left to your heirs, but He will want to know about the spiritual treasures you will take in your luggage with you.

And only you will know what answers to give.

Jesus assured us that every one will be rewarded according to his or her deeds.

Therefore, there is no point on finding excuses to the things you have not done, because God, who is in your conscience, will ask about your performance, even having all the answers…
