Have we already thought of giving up something in our existence? In abandon definitely, no more trying, turn back and leave it at side?
Because there are things in life that truly deserve it. Things that we should all think of giving up.
How many times do we try to change the people who are on our side, giving advice, fighting, insisting and arguing so they change the way they act, speak or think?
Maybe it would be better if we abandoned this posture and tried to modify ourselves.
Look at our own behavior and see what could be different, how to improve, how to release of unpleasant and harmful attitudes.
Have we already thought about abandoning the need that we have to look at the lives of others, judging and pondering what they do?
We weighed the behavior of our neighbor, we send value judgment, sentence and give the verdict for each action performed by our neighbor, relative or friend.
Maybe it would be better to quit this attitude and begin to judge ourselves.
How much of our time we use to verify what we do, how we act, how we behave?
It is true that, as Jesus reminds us, it is much easier to see a speck in the eye of the next then a stick in our own eye.
But maybe it is time to abandon and leave behind the concern with the attitude of another and better analyze our own.
Have we thought about the possibility of abandoning our critical stance, always seeing the error, the slide, the failure of our neighbor?
We forget multiplied times of valuing the dedication of the people, because we focus on seeking the failures.
As a result, we do not have time or just do not appreciate how much they have strained, have done their best, within their own limitations.
Who knows, when we look through this new angle, we can eliminate the destructive criticism, the look of disapproval, the harsh comment.
These, often, lead to discouragement, to the withdrawal of many of this or that activity, without any profit.
How many of us have before life a look of pessimism, hopelessness, analyzing everything and all under a negative perspective.
Surely, it would be better to give up this position, filling our horizon with good cheer, joy and gratitude to life, which both gives and incites us.
Thus, when so many give up important things, relevant, when so many open hand of commitments and responsibilities, let us be the ones to give up on the other way.
Let us give up on what only weighs us to the heart, which hinders the progress, which hampers the gear for the High to, finally, choose the good and for the good, having Jesus as reference in our attitudes and behavior.
