ícone A visit of love

The three kids arrived as it was getting dark. Looking sad, they brought in their little faces the pain of somebody who had cried for hours.

Holding hands, they got inside the place where they would now live. They entered where, from that moment on, would be their new home.

Their mother had left the day before, towards the Spiritual World.

The Director of the Institution received them and tried to be nice, making an effort to compensate the big loss they had just suffered.

Because there were no vacant beds, that night he lent his own bed to the three of them.

He slept, improvising a bed, in the same room.

The children slept, holding each other, trying to give comfort and protection to one another.

In the middle of the night, something woke him up. He opened his eyes and noticed a bright light next to the kids' bed.

He tried to stand up but did not manage to. The shape of a woman appeared in the middle of that strong light, and said: Do not move. Stay there. The kids are all right.

And then the light came to a halt, especially next to the small boy. He was the most depressed out of the three.

It stayed there for some time. The Director, feeling tired, went to sleep again.

When morning arrived and the sun got inside the room through the window, he woke the kids up.

While helping the little one get dressed, he noticed that the boy was really quiet. At a certain point, he said:

Sir, my mum came to visit me last night. Did you see her?

The Director put the little boy next to him and answered:

Yes, my son. I saw her.

Death does not kill the affections, or the relationship.

From where they are now, the ones who abandon the body keep watching for the ones who remained on Earth.

Deep loves perpetuates themselves forever, and wherever a broken heart is, the missed absent beloved one is present.

No one is alone in this World, even if the poverty of our senses does not always allow us to notice the presence of our beloved ones.

However, when the image of the ones who did the big trip emerges from our minds; when the memory of that love suddenly moves us; when we recollect and miss them... believe: they are not far away.

Their presences drive our mental registers and cause these sweet and tender pictures to appear in our minds.

When this happens to you, close your eyes, feel the scent of love touching your face and thank God for the gift of the reencounter.

Later on, as this feeling of missing someone fades away, dry your tears, smile and go ahead, waiting for the time of the definitive meeting, when the shade of death will embrace you as well.
