In the modern world it seems that time is a luxury item.
The complaints about its scarcity are constant.
Many say they are excessively busy.
Many others say that time seems to pass by faster and faster.
Many people involved in numerous life chores at the same time feel authentically hostage to their lives.
This human difficulty to manage time well is not something new.
The Spirit Emmanuel, mentor of Francisco Cândido Xavier, has already examined the problem.
Once, he said that time does not pass by man, but it is rather man who passes by time.
The difference may seem subtle, but it is very important.
When you are still and something passes by there is a certain feeling of lethargy and immobility because you cannot follow the object.
The phenomenon presents itself differently when it is man who passes by and moves on.
According to the words of Emmanuel, that is precisely what occurs in relation to time.
It is man who moves and directs his life along the time that is given to him.
So man is the one dictating the pace of his life.
This happy image tries to unlink the feeling of a human being deleterious in relation to time.
It seeks to empower man to live fully the present moment.
No regrets for what has passed.
If mistakes were made, it is necessary to correct them, but it's pointless to enslave oneself in the past.
It also avoids the anxieties about the future.
The important thing is to do your best in the present time.
Enjoy it in its many possibilities.
Be aware that it is up to man to discipline his own life.
The media sometimes works against it.
It gives the impression that what is relevant is to buy many things, go to certain places, distract yourself until exhaustion.
Usually it is said that time is gold, or that time is money.
Depending on the point of view, these statements are true.
It is indeed important to use time in a useful way.
But in a balanced way, without becoming slave to activities that multiply so unnecessarily.
And also as not to torture oneself for what has passed or what will come.
Enjoy the moment right now.
If it is during working hours, work calmly without being troubled by what happens in other environments.
At home, enjoy peacefully the family company.
During study time, just study.
To live in peace amidst the storms of the world, you need to become the master of your own time.
Chosing what deserves attention in a given moment and doing it with serenity.
As Jesus said, tomorrow will worry about itself.
If today is well lived and enjoyed, certainly tomorrow will be peaceful.
Think about it.
