Conquerors are surrounded by mercenary legions and soldiers. They establish combat strategies and audacious conquering plans.
Conquerors gather earthly treasures with which they intend to extend their power.
Those who follow them, do so expecting generous rewards or being honored with high posts, which will equally result in power and money.
He was a different kind of Conqueror. He arrived having been firstly announced to humble hearts and attentive ears. Long awaited, He had His identity confirmed in several opportunities.
His Father sent a special Messenger to announce His birth, and a magnificent choir crowned with splendor such marvelous news.
In an almost cold night, wrapped in rags, under the shinny light of a star, He made Himself present among mankind.
He showed Himself by a river among rude but hopeful people. He had as herald a messenger of vigorous voice, who said he came to the world to even out the path for the Lord.
The name of this messenger was John. As he identified Him, he addressed Him the two first apostles, conscious that He was the Lord's Lamb, the Messiah sung by the people, the hope of human-kind.
All conquerors desire to have men trained on weapons and select their followers among those who show agility, precision and efficacy.
He selected men from the people. Galilean fishermen, one a literate, the other a seller of paraphernalia, an adolescent in love with the news from Heaven.
Twelve made up His closest collegiate. Another seventy two, to whom He taught the art of comprehension and inner peace, He elected as messengers of His arrival.
Two at a time, they departed before Him, telling every village and city that God's Kingdom was arriving and that His son was already among them.
Everything to culminate with His arrival, having all people waiting for Him, with the expectation of the New Word He would bring.
Terrific strategist, He planned in detail how to come close to the humble and to the powerful alike.
He was in the parks, on the roads, in the mountains, in the valley. He preached in the Synagogues, in the sumptuous temple of Jerusalem and in all houses where He was lodged.
He distributed His word, making it clear that all those who had ears to hear should listen.
Nobody was forced to follow Him. His invitation was for peace. Whoever had the desire of peace should follow Him.
He made friends wherever He went. In Bethany He was received warmly by the brothers Martha, Mary and Lazarus, with all their love.
In Tyron and Sidon, a friend's home received Him generously while He was there.
A man called Simon offered Him a banquet almost at His prison and death, a reminder of His farewell.
Jesus. Nobody can be compared to Him. Nobody would make with such tenderness and strength the conquest of so many hearts.
More than 20 centuries since He returned to the Spiritual World His presence still is very alive in our hearts.
His life, His acts, His attitudes are yet talked about, studied in detail by all who are avid of His so dearly sung peace.
Jesus, an Incomparable Conqueror. Let us follow Him.
