Do you have any friends?
If you do, you must know how important it is to have true friends.
During our lives, we mention the treasure called friends for countless times, but it is not everybody that gives them their true value.
If you are not rich, important nor famous, it is easier to know who your friends are, as generally speaking, people do not have other reason to get close to you, apart from true friendship.
The same is not true for the rich and famous, as people might get close to them moved by interests or connivances, not always because of true friendship.
It is very common for famous people to feel lonely, to get depressed and apathetic, because they do not have someone they can trust unconditionally.
Perhaps that is what made this woman poet write the following:
I need someone who looks into my eyes while I speak; who listens to my sadness and neurosis with patience.
Moreover, even if this person does not understand me, he or she will respect my feelings.
I need someone who will fight next to me even if I don't ask for it.
Someone who is a real friend, who will tell me the truths I do not want to hear, even knowing I might hate him for that.
In this world full of skeptics, I need someone who believes in this mysterious, disbelieved, and nearly impossible thing called friendship.
Someone who insists on being loyal, simple and fair, who will not leave if one day I lose my position and stop being the center of attentions.
I need a friend who will receive my help with gratitude, accept my hand. Even if this is not enough compared to his necessities.
I need a friend who is also my partner for having fun and to going fishing, for making war and for being happy, and, in the middle of a storm, shouting with me: "One day we will laugh about it". I need someone who laughs a lot.
Searching for this I put my body and soul, as with true friendship, life becomes simpler, richer and more beautiful...
True friendship is above any kind of financial values. No money in the world would be enough to get this kind of loyal friendship, as this is not something you can buy.
It does not matter how rich a person is, he will not be completely happy if he cannot count on, at least, one good friend.
To be the richest person in the world would be nothing if you did not have someone to share it with.
To have all material treasures that the world can offer would be nothing if you did not have someone to share it with.
On the other hand, even if you are the poorest person on Earth, if you have a true friend, you will always have someone to give you a helping hand.

While other emotions might get weak with life's ups and downs, friendship stays as a devoted feeling from people who care about each other.
To have a friend is to have a heart capable of loving, illuminating, understanding and forgiving at the hardest times in our lives.
Pure friendship is a flower that never dies.
