ícone Interpreter of God

I and the Father are one. – Thus, the Gentle Rabbi of Galilee identified himself, presenting His credentials.

This phrase, annotated by Evangelist John, in a wrong way served as an argument for some to consider the Master Jesus as God Himself.

However, what the Christ wished to tell us is that He interpreted God’s thinking on Earth. In this way he communicated with the Father, who knew exactly how to express His will.

Spirit sent to serve as a Model and Guide, elected himself the interpreter of God, using symbols, parables, figurative images for that.

It all to give us an approximate idea of the Divine infinity.

In order to offer us the lesson of hope in Divine Providence, which sees everything, provides everything, is attentive to everything, raised His voice to declare:

Behold the birds on the air: they shall not sow, nor reap, nor store in barns. Yet, your heavenly Father sustains them. Are you not of more value than the birds?

And continuing: Look at the lilies on the field. They do not spin or sew. But I assure you that not even Solomon, in his entire splendor, could dress as one of them.

So, if God dresses the grass of the field, which is there today and tomorrow is cast into the fire, how much more to you, men of little faith.

To legitimize our Divine sonship, he taught: Only one is your father, who is in heaven.

And so that we might understand the quality of this Father, he taught: For everyone that asks will receive; who seeks will find; and to him that knocks it shall be opened unto him.

Which father, among you, if the son asks for a fish, will you instead give him a snake? Or if he asks for an egg, will you give him a scorpion?

For if you, being evil, knows how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give to those who ask him?

Taking advantage of the opportunity when a man ran to meet him and knelling, he asked him: Good master! What must I do to inherit eternal life?

He replied: Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one, who is God!

Master of all time, He testified the law of labor as Divine Law, when expressing that the Father works incessantly and I work as well.

Jesus! No one greater than Him on the face of the Earth, at all times. Interpreter of God, he taught us the law of love, telling us that God, the Father, should be loved above all things.

In His farewell speech, He said: In my father’s house there are many rooms. If it had not been so, I would have told you. I will go ahead and prepare the place for you.

What a magnificent lesson: our return will be to the house of the Father, who created us and nourishes us with love. Father who protects us, guards and waits for us.

Waits, prodigal sons, to return to the father’s house, to be happy, in His bosom, all of us, His children.

Sons of all races, all nations, all creeds. Children of His love. Created for love.

May we hasten these days to our own happiness.
