What is more important: winning in the world or winning the world?

Although the question presents a small subtlety between a situation and another, its meaning is deeply different.

Winning in the world or winning the world?

Most of us believe to be extremely important to win in the world, in other words, win according to the current values and standards in the world.

Maybe that is the reason why we embrace relating moral standards, with which, the important thing is to achieve our goals.

Winning in the world is to have the brightness, the recognition, the social and financial success that it can offer us.

For that, sometimes, there are no limits for our actions, normally imposed by morality and ethics. Sometimes, we disrespect, including, legal determinations.

So, we can become owners of economic empires, become famous, applauded, icons of this or that, public figures of projection.

We can become reference as businessmen, successful entrepreneurs.

We conquer the world, win in the world, and enjoy the laurels and awards of the triumphant on Earth.

Others of us, anonymous and discreet, choose to win the world.

We understand that life is opportunity to test, develop and strengthen moral values.

We know that life is fleeting and strive to live to win the challenges, temptations and difficulties that it presents us.

From this on, we base our conduct in high moral values, which we elect as our guide and reference of purposes.

If bribe is offered, on behalf of a larger gain, we prefer to keep unrestricted levels of honesty.

If, in social relationships, defamation could gain certain benefits or privileged social positions, we opt for discretion and respect to others.

In family relationships, in the education of children, we will remain in the agenda of duties, not deliver the futile or thoughtless attitudes.

Naturally, this second option will require us a price.

Many times, we will be misunderstood, misinterpreted, taken to the care of fools and naive, not knowing how to recognize prominent valuable opportunities.

Possibly we will suffer the intemperance of those who fail to understand the position we take, nor the values that conduct our days.

It is important that, resolute, we remain without allowing us to win by the foolish seductions of the transitory world.

It is Jesus who invites us to persevere until the end.

Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world, encourages the Good Shepherd.

And He offers us the script of conduct to win the world.

Just follow Him, in the booklet of loving the neighbor that was His entire existence.

So, keep the good cheer, when difficulties arise, fruits of our good conduct and correct act.

Keep as our secure script the Gospel of the Master, and remain strong, in the right proceed.
