Imagine our planet floating silently in space... Around it, a white dove flies always circling it.

Every one hundred years, the wing of the dove gently touches the face of the Earth. The time that would take Earth to be covered by each feather is eternity.

Through eternity, time passes.

Within time, there is change. Soon, the wing of the white dove will touch our world once more.

The dawn of a new century. Time for a new beginning...

Now is eternity. The beginning of a new century. A thousand years of joys and sorrows we leave behind.

Love is our destiny. Celebrate the beginning of a new century. Let the voices recite and sing. Now is the time.

These are the verses from a song of Secret Garden, Dawn of a New Century. And they send us to think of the time that we are facing.

A new millennium just started, a century just awake. However, more than a decade we have made in that time.

And what have we done to help the deployment of the New Era of this new millennium?

The Spirits tell us that this will be the era of art and technology. The technology almost daze us with so many spectacular offers of instruments that allow us to see, hear, almost touch the world, in real time.

And we have seen art offering its delicious fruits.

In the literature, we see arise works that speak of the beautiful and the good proliferate throughout the world. And several publishers have been dedicated to reissuing old publications, presenting them to the Humanity of today, resurrecting valuable concepts of living well.

The cinema has been careful to represent the acts of the great heroes who have changed the course of History.

And the animation, photography, soundtracks, the excellent performances of actors and actresses has attracted to the halls of projection ever growing number of supporters of art.

Music, however, seems to have exploded in all quarters of Earth. And quality music, in the many and varied cultural expressions.

The instrumental music, that elevates the Spirit. Or with lyrics associated, of verses that force us to reflect, to think or simply be exhilarated with its poetry.

Yes, those who devote themselves to the arts are doing their contribution to the ascension of the Spirit to higher spheres.

And us, what have we done?

Have we allowed ourselves to absorb the good, the beautiful and exhilarate it in our day-to-day basis?

Have we being careful to cultivate kindness, gentleness as expression of ourselves, improved by the foil of the positive things?

Let us think: we are the architects of the Third Millennium in which we live, the sculptors of the New Era, the new century.

Let us promote the good anywhere we are. Talk about the good things. Embalm the environment where we are with the delicate and unmistakable fragrance of joy that is contagious.

Joy that expresses gratitude for life. Cultivate the friendship, compassion, the good cheer.

Contribute with the new century in order to hasten the deployment of the era of happiness, well-being, before the conclusion of the millennium present, before ending the years of this century.
