The speaker had concluded the conference. The applause were long. Then, long line for the compliments.

Many complimented the enlightening speech, around the immortality of the soul. More than anything, the honesty which she had revealed, in those sixty minutes, saying, more than once, that the spiritists do not fear death.

Whoever it has convinced himself that the death is the simple transition, from one to the another stage, do not fear it.

Whoever it is convinced that we are immortal, because we are Spirits, waits for death with peace of mind.

In its presence, do not get frightened, do not fear it. Truly, the speech had been consistent, perfectly based on the logic and common sense.

A few hours later, the distinguished lecturer was taken to the airport, to take the flight that would lead her home, in another State.

While she was waiting for boarding, two couples came closer, saying that they had attended her conference, and elongated in praise, detailing some of the items discussed, especially the fearless of death, that she so well drew attention.

A few minutes later, everyone on board, the trip had begun. While the snack was being served, suddenly, the pilot informed of a turbulence ahead. Soon, everybody felt it. It was not a light and fast turbulence, but a most serious and time-consuming problem.

The plane seemed to be being shaken by invisible hands. Then, it gave the impression of diving into a high vacuum. There had been some minutes, that seemed hours, and were enough to establish the panic.

We will fall! We will die! - Shouted the most desperate people.

Others simply shouted, while they seemed to see, as in a movie, their whole life. It is the moment of death. - They thought. And shouted louder.

The speaker, facing so much panic, lost herself a little and was about to join the chorus of screams, when remembered of what she had spoken, the fruit of her very thorough and thoughtful studies.

She remembered more: How could she demonstrate fear, panic, facing people who had heard her elucidate about the absence of death?

She forbore, closed her eyes and started praying for herself, for the others who were on the same plane, for the family members that, suddenly, she recalled.

When it all became serene, the airplane continued its journey, she stopped to reflect. In those few moments, she realized that she had not yet triumphed over the fear of death.

Yes, intellectually, she absorbed the logical message of common sense. Emotionally, however, she has not yet administrate enough to dress her as an undeniable truth.

She returned home, thought and spent days meditating about the issue.

The divine truths as simple and easy it is, to those who ratiocinate, with logic, to learn them.

Something quite different is to live them, that means, lead the life itself, according to their parameters.

This has to do with the big difference that exists between the intellect and  the emotions: the thinking and the feeling.

The intellect accepts,  but the feeling not always does it, in the same dimension and temporality.

Let us bear this in mind and let us reflect a little more around the life that never dies, that continues active and exuberant.

Let us think about the passage from one to another reality, at any time in our lives.
