Who of us does not want the existence to go like a calm river, where the boat of our lives sailed through peaceful and serene water?

We all wish that, in life, the conflicts never arise, the difficulties do not appear, and the pain does not take room in our walk.

However, living is much more than meeting the flow of days, or waiting to get old and the death to end the life of the physical body.

We have the challenge, every time we are born, every time we dress up with flesh, that new leanings will be made.

That is the purpose of Divinity for us: that the physical body is the possibility of progress to the soul.

Therefore, naturally there will be bitter days in our journey.

There will be periods in which the weight on our shoulders will become bigger and the problems will look more complex. 

We will go trough disturbed days, when we will be tested in our values, our persistence, and our faith.

Situations of major will emerge, requiring that we develop moral capacities which we did not have nor even imagined we did.

There will be situations in which the test will be more rude, in which we will face our moral limits, in which we will overcome the extreme of our ability.

None of this will happen, however, without the full consent of the Divinity. None without the full knowledge of Divine Providence.

God is completely aware of everything that happens to us.

Nothing that occurs is useless or devoid of any reason, even if for the moment we cannot understand the purpose.

Contrary to the popular adage, we can say that God writes right by straight lines.

We are, sometimes, the short-sighted who cannot see the love and wisdom of His intentions.

Thus, if the days are challenging, there it is the goodness of God, offering us the learning.

For some, the challenge is to deal with the return of the loved being to the spiritual homeland, leaving the trail of nostalgia and an immense absence. 

For others, it is the pain, the sickness, the deformities, the physical limitations that come unexpectedly, causing the lack of balance in their days. 

For many, it is the family to be dismantled, trough the inconstancy of some, the mistakes of others, destructuring the relations of joy and brotherhood.

This is our journey. Made of challenges and lessons. 

When they arrive, in the form of pain or sorrow, sickness or any needs, it is always the invitation to learn.

Let us dress ourselves with courage and faith. Deal with what comes to us with de serenity of those who understand the challenges as necessary for the moral growth.

And let us not forget that we will always have Jesus, the Good Shepherd, to sustain us all, tired and afflicted, in His loving bosom.

The existential challenges are part of life. Without them, men would be destroyed by the paralysis of the will, the members, of the aspirations, that would turn into unhealthy acceptance of the lower levels of evolution. 

Enrich yourself with the light of high discernment is the essential purpose of life.
