ícone A mother who makes sand castles

One of these newspapers’strips, with three brief scenes, has raised a very important issue, which deserves our attention: in the first scene, we see a little girl in front of her mother. Of the mother sees only the legs and the waist.

The daughter, then, asks: Mom, where are you going? What outfit is this?

In the second scene, we have the answer of the mother: Now, this is my gym outfit! Don’t you want a beautiful mother in the summer?

And finally, in the third scene, we have the perspicacious answer from the child: No, I prefer a mother who makes sand castles.

It is worth reflecting for a few moments, if we have only been a mother who wants to be beautiful in the summer, or a mother who makes sand castles with her children.

The care of the body is important, of course, and we all must keep it healthy, however, it is necessary to verify if we are not, often, falling into excesses.

The brief passage narrated shows very well what we have more precious to give to our children: our time at their side.

When talking about summer, the girl thought of the sand castles she would make with her mother.

It is worth reflecting if, in many cases, in name of so many things, so many appointments, or even in name of vanity, we are not leaving our children aside, at home, with babysitters, grandparents or even alone, for toolong.

When we accept the important mission of father, of mother, we accept sacrifices, we accept to waive part of our lives for them, at least for some time, while they are little and need our full attention.

Many parents seem to forget about that, thinking that they can live the same life they lived while they were single or when did not have kids.

We outsource the care and education for others, thus achieving more free time, or even more time for other chores.

Let us be calm. Let us have patience.

This sacrifice, theses hours and more donated to them will bring us many joys. And the first of them is the joy of the conscience in peace, the awareness which recognizes itself fulfilling of its duties.

Let us use discipline. Let us save moments for ourselves during the week, for our duties, but, let us avoid at the most leaving the children aside for too long.

They are moments that do not come back and pass too fast. Soon we will realize that.

Perhaps we are exhausted with so many commitmentsdomestic, professional and family. It seems that we are not bearing it, for sure.

It is our dimension of donation for the family.

And since this is a gesture of altruism, self-sacrifice, we are not alone. We can count on the help of spiritual friends who accompany us and also work for the success of our works on Earth.

Let us pray, lets us ask for help. Lets us reassurance our heart and calm down the anxiety. Soon everything fits, everything is calm.

Soon the kids grow up, life changes one more time, and it will be the moment of nostalgia of when they were little.

Stow in our heart a highercertainty, that it is worth inventing our time to build sand castles with our beloved children.
