I thank Thee, Lord, for being the son of Thy love and the heir of the Universe. Being a singer of this beauty, have a seat at this table, by the taste of my verse.

Lord, thank Thee so much, for the good and honored fathers and for the lessons of poverty. For the coffee with flour, for everything that I did not have and made my wealth.

For my perfect body, for the poetry in my chest and the years of my age. For all the duty done, for the support received and the heaven of Immortality.

I thank Thee also for the seed of goodness planted in my orchard. For the sweetness of this fruit which has not allowed me become hard and learned to love.

For the water of my source, for the line of the horizon and the dream of a seaman. For my sea of childhood and my boat of hope scrolling through the whole world.

For the bread, for the shelter, for the embrace of a friend, for Thy invisible affection. I thank Thee with vehemence this peace in my conscience and my invincible faith.

For the light that enlightens me since the former Palestine, in joy and pain. For who I am and what I know, for Moses bringing the Law, for Jesus bringing the love.

Lord, I thank Thee for the pain and the stumbling when teaching a lesson. No one pays without duty and the Law obliges to reap the effects of our actions.

For the wisdom contained in the parchment of life, in magic and in reason. I thank Thee for my part, for the science, for the art and for the Greece of Plato.

For Cabral in the right direction, for Brazil discovered, for the homeland and the citizen. For the hero of Conspiracy, the Cry of Independence and the blessing of Abolition.

For the lessons of History, for the people and their glory in the search for freedom. And for all Humanity, when raising its flag for peace and truth.

I am grateful for having a dream, the dream of a better world, with contagious peace. To see this Brazil fruitful, as the heart of the world, in a stunning future.

I thank the good fight and to have seen this clash, with my heart stripped. With Your light in my steps, the brotherhood in my arms and my dream preserved.

With Thee, Lord, I am strong, I have a light, I have a north: love, sensitivity. I live in melody, in music, poetry and in the beacon of truth.

Thank You, Lord, for the work and sweat, for which I have given and received. When my hour arrives, if I have any merit, leads me to Thee.

The prayer is the blessed resource we have at our disposal to approach to God and our brothers. It is the mean of communication among souls and also the bridge between the invisible world and the one we live in.

Through prayer, let us praise God for all His work, for all the beauty, magnitude and perfection of the planet in which we live.

Let us express our eternal gratitude for the opportunity of a new experience in the physical body.

Let us always thank all the achievements, spiritual and material, for the obstacles overcome, for the blessings received, for protection, for the timely work and for all the affections that embellish our earthly path.

Let us not forget to thank also the difficulties and the detractors that we find in our way, because they are, with no doubt, the instruments of learning and personal improvement.

Let us have, above all, the care to know what to really ask God in our prayers.

When having recourse to the Divine assistance, let us remember to ask wisdom, hope, patience and strength to overcome the difficulties and win what we want.
