ícone Why are we on Earth?

Have you ever wondered why you were born? Why have you come to this world?

Each one of us brings a mission to fulfill. There are those who find out their mission soon and go to great lengths in fulfilling it.

They are the geniuses, that early awakening and attracting the eyes of the world towards them: painters, musicians, writers, men of science.

Others take longer to realize what they should do. Some never discover they were born to do something special.

That something special could be to become father, or mother, have children, educate them, turning them into good people.

When we watch a musical and get delighted with the singer's voice, for instance, have we thought about who her parents are? How they have raised her?

Have they realized, from early on, the wonderful gift of their daughter and initially dedicated to provide the best opportunities to develop it?

And, we conclude: they have fulfilled their mission. There it is their daughter, thrilling hearts, filling the world with sounds, dazzling audiences, with her extraordinary voice.

When we read scientific papers or philosophical and get admired with the knowledge there contained, fruit of minds of value, we believe that these creatures came into the world to make it better.

And they are fulfilling their mission, spreading, with their theses, their theories, their writings, their conferences, the good ideas, helping to build the man renewed. Helping him to live better.

When we discover a professor who is dedicated to education, in addition to the duty, we think: this must be his mission!

And he is fulfilling it, with honor!

So, in some days, we look at ourselves, at the years lived, the ones we still have to win and we ask: After all, why was I born?

There is nothing exceptional that I did or do. I have a degree, a job, I support myself. But, why am I here?

There is nothing I do to improve anyone's life. I am not exceptional in any way. Perhaps I do not, even, pass the average.

It is in these moments we must remind ourselves of a young passionate by the truth he advocated.

He grew up, preparing himself to take over a position of prominence among theirs. He would be a rabbi. In fact, the replacement for the great and respected Gamaliel.

However, one day, he received a particular call. He could not define if the voice came from the outside or it sounded within his heart.

But it was enough for the young Saul to ask: Lord, what wilt thou have me do?

And from then on, it became the desire of gentle Sheperd in the Land to the point, at a certain moment of his life, thus if express:

I am no longer the one who lives. It is the Christ who lives in me.

Like the young man from Tarsus, it is good we meditate, time or other, in questioning: Why am I here? What should I do?

And be able to hear the answer.

Soon we will identify that we have something very important to do: grow, progress, make ourselves better.

And, by performing this feat, each day, we see that we will be collaborating in the deployment more brief of the renewed world.

A world of peace, blessings, work and harmony.

Let us think about it.
