ícone Tears: words of our soul

Often in life we experience situations in which emotions are so strong that we lack words to express our feelings.

We can consider tears as the words of our soul.

Through them we are able to demonstrate countless feelings.

Tears, in most cases, trickle down from our eyes without us having control over them.

Sometimes they tell painful stories, but they also have something beautiful in their essence.

When we raise our thoughts to higher Spirituality, be it our guardian angel, our beloved friend Jesus or God, tears come to our eyes.

When observing nature, we have the opportunity to see its marvels. We become emotional realizing the greatness and perfection of the Divine presence in a sunset, waterfall or rainbow.

During the birth of a child, tears are the only way to translate and assess the magnitude of the Divine moment.

When we are sentimental, often lacking some expression of affection, a handshake or a pat full of love is enough to bring us to tears.

When we let the sound of a sublime song reach our hearts, we shed tears of emotion because we feel our soul touched and caressed by that sweet and vibrant melody.

Both emotional and physical pains come to us without notice, taking up considerable space in our souls and our bodies.

Tears are shed for the departure of a loved one, for the pain of someone's absence and longing, and for the pain of a regreted mistake.

When we see somebody else's pains, tears flow from our eyes. Also when we are confronted with so much scarcity, so many unmet needs, diseases, deprivation and neglect.

Every tear has its meaning. Whether it is for pain or joy, it tells us that we are driven by emotion and capable of expressing our feelings.

It demonstrates that we become emotional in simple and ephemeral moments, indicating that we are touched by what is beautiful in life.

And when the tears are of pain, let the reason that touches us also be the same reason that drives us.

Let the movement be towards inner change. Let it be an impulse to look at life from a new angle, to work on our resignation, patience, hope, faith and trust in God.
