ícone Moving forward

In a well-known passage of the Gospel, Jesus states:

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Christ is the most remarkable figure in History.

Contrary to all other man, He has no vices and weaknesses.

Full of greatness and compassion, He is the ideal model given from God to all men.

In these words of Jesus, it is possible to see a whole guide for evolution.

What we first identify is the respect to free will.

It is an invitation, not an imposition.

Whoever wants to follow Him must pay attention to His words.

The yoke of the Messiah is light, and the route he signals is bright.

But the creature is allowed to pursue dark and twisted paths, filled with pain and discontent.

As evolution is the Divine design, all will improve.

But each one is free to manage the evolutionary process, accelerating or slowing it down.

Having the will to move forward, here there are two other advices.

One regards the acting of taking up one's own cross.

Every being is just how he has built himself through the centuries.

His happiness or disgrace is the heritage he prepared for himself.

There is no use in looking up for anyone else to blame for one's problems.

The reason of our current issues is not the government, the spouse, the neighbor, the children, the parents or the boss.

The Spirit is the maker of his own destiny.

According to his actions, thoughts and feelings, he may make up his experiences and needs.

As the others are not responsible, it is not worth trying to shift the weight of the cross that is carrying.

Defiance and revolt do not solve problems.

Courage and decision are needed to take responsibility for the life to lead, with its own problems and difficulties.

Without complaints or excuses, must shoulder the cross and move forward, with steadiness and dignity.

As difficult as it might be, duty must be done.

The ultimate advice is to resign to yourself.

It shows clearly that selfishness is incompatible with spiritual progress.

Whoever wants to get rid of painful situations must exercise self-denial.

Learn to serve, to be silent and to understand, with no payback expected.

It is about forgetting the own interests on caring for the neighbor.

Who forgets himself in the urge of helping others surpasses the limits of his duties.

He is not concerned with gains and losses, and indulges himself to the practice of goodness, for the sheer joy of being useful.

The working schedule may seem too hard to be followed in a world marked by selfishness.

But it means a route towards peace and plenitude.

Think about it.
