In a certain Gospel passage, Jesus says scandals are necessary on this World, but too bad for those who cause them.

In the colloquial sense, scandal means noisy event that causes uproar.

In this line, the problem would not lie in the content of the conduct, but rather in its repercussion.

As long as the bad action did not generate uproar, there would be no major problems.

However, this interpretation values appearances and hypocrisy, bluntly in disagreement with Christ's teachings.

Jesus said, regarding adultery, that the simple impure thought was already reprehensible.

What about clearly harmful actions, but committed secretly?

It seems possible to interpret scandal in the Gospel sense, as everything that causes a fall or embarrassment in one's own way or someone else's.

Everything that results from addictions and human imperfections, everything that violates the purity and fraternity duties, this is a scandal before the Divine Laws.

But why are scandals necessary?

The core question resides in the still incipient evolution of the human race, especially in what regards moral.

The planet will continue to be the home of Spirits that are rebels to the Divine Laws for some time.

Life in this planet is difficult due to our several vices rather than to the Earth's material conditions.

Violence, corruption, and promiscuity, all generate unhappiness and disorder.

Several are the scandals created by mankind daily due to our imperfections.

Except for the missionary souls, the Spirits living on Earth have affinity of sentiments and values at a certain degree.

The mutual contact of vicious creatures has several effects.

It causes the inevitable suffering due to the clash of various interests.

It is tiring to defending oneself daily from someone external evil and live amongst slyness and betrayal.

This contact also produces the balancing of cosmic debts.

On the path of life's learning process, Spirits make mistakes that need to be repaired.

They need to come to terms with their own consciousness in order to be able to reach superior stages of immortal life.

Spirits also need to acquire patience and generosity and this is only possible before imperfect creatures.

After all, the angels do not defy anyone's patience and do not need anyone's favor or clemency.

Finally, the contact with vices causes men to slowly dislike them.

Human scandals are sad. With time, it causes an ideal of different living to come up, full of purity and compassion.

Therefore, in the inferior stages of life, scandals are sadly still necessary.

But too bad for the scandalous one, as one is responsible for all the bad caused, even though it indirectly brings good.

When men evolve, scandals will become unnecessary and will disappear.

Eventual settlements with the Cosmic Justice will be in the form of active work for the good which will translate in the love that covers a multitude of sins¸ in the words of the Gospel.

Therefore, to be free from painful injunctions, be careful to avoid scandals.

If someone causes you harm, know that the really harmed is the scandalous one.

He who challenges the Divine Laws will trigger serious consequences to his own life.
