Have you ever seen a sunflower?

It is a very big yellow flower that turns always towards the sun. That is why it is so called sunflower.

When a small and fragile seed of this flower sprouts among the other plants, it seeks immediately the sun.

Just like if it instinctively knew that the clarity and the heat of the sun will bring life.

What would happen to the flower if we put it inside a dark and closed bell jar?

Certainly, in a short time, it would perish.

Like sunflowers, our physical body also needs the light and the heat of the sun, the rain and the breeze, to keep us alive.

Nevertheless, it is not only our physical body that needs care to keep going. The Spirit also needs the Divine Light to keep the flame of hope alive.

It needs the heat of affection, the breeze of friendship and the rain of celestial blessings.

However, it is necessary that we make our efforts to breathe pure air, above the unpleasant situations that surround us.

Many of us allow viciousness to suppress our will to seek the light, and we languish day-by-day just like a frail and lifeless plant.

If not, we let ourselves get tangled up into difficulties due to laziness and discouragement and we complain about our fate but we do not make any efforts to get ourselves out of the situation we dislike.

We must understand the objectives drawn by God for the rise up of His children, meaning all of us.

So that we can grow, according to divine plans, the Creator put all we need at our disposal.

It is the family support that offers us sustenance and security in all times...

The presence of our friends at happy or sad moments, giving our steps support and pushing us ahead.

The possibilities of learning appearing at every step of the way, making us more enlightened and prepared to choose the best way to take.

Nevertheless, what exactly happens to us when we close ourselves into the dark bell jar of depression or melancholy, and we stay there because we desire so?

It might be possible that in a short time, we loose our strengths which will not even allow us to ask for help anymore.

Therefore, we must understand that God has a plan full of happiness for each one of us, and we must look for any possible resource to achieve it.

We should try to imitate the sunflowers. We should always seek the light, even if strong darkness surrounds us.

We should seek family support whenever we feel we are faltering.

We need to beg our true friends for help whenever we feel that our strengths are fading away.

Above it all, we must seek the Divine Light that consoles and clarifies, gives support and cheers up in all situations.

When the dark clouds of tormenting thoughts cover the horizons of your hope like a dark veil, and depressions´ invitation circles your soul, imitate the sunflowers and try to breathe the fresh air that is above any disagreeable circumstance.

When difficulties and problems become unbearable, trying to suffocate your will to fight, remember the sunflowers and seek the Divine Light through a sincere pray.
