Confidence in our own forces gives us the courage and disposition to fight.

Those who do not trust their own potentials adopt a defeating attitude.

These will admit defeat even before trying.

Every endeavor presupposes planning, strategy and work to be done.

But confidence on the possibility of victory is critical for it to occur.

Some blocking stones always exist during the execution of big projects.

The pessimist sees in them the confirmation of his/her own incompetence.

The optimist tries to learn with failure, adapt to the difficulties and persist with the objective.

Confidence is not only necessary regarding material aspects of human existence.

It is also critical for moral and spiritual questions.

Many people do not dedicate to their self-character improvement because they think it is unattainable.

They believe their addictions are genetically inherited and accept them.

They assume greed, selfishness, laziness, and maledicence are part of their character.

They imagine that moral deviations are immutable like one's eye color or height.

However, they are wrong.

The body does not give defects or virtues to anyone.

If this were so, holiness would simply be a natural accident and would not represent any merit.

The same way, cruelty and violence would simply be the result of physical pre-disposition.

Spiritism teaches that all Spirits are angels in potential.

They possess the seeds of all virtues, but each one needs to work to develop their own talents and abilities.

The transition from ignorance to holiness constitutes a long path.

It requires innumerous reincarnations to complete itself.

During the evolution process, the Spirit sometimes fails and sometimes succeeds.

Gradually the Spirit gains lucidity and becomes more assertive.

It is always necessary to repair the damages caused in the unfortunate experiences.

However, in each new experience the Spirit builds on his knowledge and expands the possibility to act correctly.

Intellectual and artistic abilities, virtues and affinities are inheritances of what one has lived.

But also old bad habits are part of this inheritance.

Therefore, the current trends, good or bad, are the result of past experiences.

If a man is violent, violence does not come from his body, but from his Spirit.

A peaceful and balanced Spirit will not be violent, even if it incarnates in a body of extreme rude appearance.

Therefore, it is important to take full responsibility for what we are.

Whatever your characteristics are, you have built yourself as such.

But it is entirely up to you to modify them.

Your destiny is holiness.

All the angels' virtues are latent in you.

Focus on this truth and assume that becoming a wonderful being depends on your will and efforts only.

It is certainly not easy to break free from old habits.

Stopping with maledicence, stopping judging others, controlling greed, disciplining sexuality, all this demands a considerable effort.

The same applies to the development of compassion, the appreciation for serious readings and for constructive discussions.

However, it is possible.

You were created to be an angel full of love and wisdom.

Trust your enlightening destiny and fight bravely to achieve it.

It only depends on you.
