ícone The God I trust

When someone is asked whether or not he or she believes in God, the answer is affirmative, with rare exceptions. Yes, people believe in God.

Strangely, despite the high number of people who say they believe in God, equally high is the number of despaired, depressed and desperate people.

How can it be explained that even though they believe in God - the good and loving Father who sees and knows it all - people can still fall in despair?

Maybe the answer lies in the way we believe in God or are led to believe in Him.

Once Albert Einstein while in New York was asked, during a dialogue with Rabbi Goldstein, if he believed in God. The answer was:

I have the Jewish origin deep in my roots. I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals harmony in all that exists. However, I do not believe God worries about the consequences of every action performed by men.

Controversy was created between Albert, physicists and religious leaders because of this declaration. Many used this declaration to develop protests against his theories.

Religious leaders manifested saying that the Theory of Relativity should be reviewed. They've said that behind all the controversy was the terrible ghost of atheism.

They also declared that Einstein was spreading doubts regarding the presence of God over the creation of the whole Universe and its creatures.

Einstein's response was conscious, although for many it remained incomprehensible.

He used to say that his religion was based on the admiration of the humility of the superior Spirits; as such spirits did not hold themselves to the small details regarding our uncertain Spirits.

He used to say:

For this rational reason, in light of the superiority of this Universe I find and have an idea of God. I am not an atheist.

Whoever wants to infer this from my scientific theories has not understood them.

I personally believe in God and never in my life have I succumbed to the atheist ideology. There is no contradiction between science and religion.

There are in fact outdated scientists with ideas that did not evolve with time.

I see in the cosmic experience a noble religion, a scientific source of profound research.

I try to understand each star in this immense Universe, which is not material.

Who does not act in the same way, feeling the strange sensation of wanting to levitate in the infinite, really does not know how to live because is already dead in front of so much divine beauty.

There are several ways for a human being to believe in God. For many, there is the legal God, who is the legislator, police officer of morality. Who establishes a distance from true faith through fear.

God is in all my theories and inventions. He is present in everything and I believe in every being, even in the most primitive forms.

This is my religion and the God I trust.

So he said and so he lived. Albert Einstein was an example of authentic christian, who cared for the others constantly.

Two years before disincarnating, his birthday was celebrated with a great public ceremony.

All that he received as gifts, Einstein turned into funds that were sent to the Albert Einstein Med School.
