How many times have you asked yourself how long will you be able to bear the difficulties that anguish you?

How many times, early in the morning, do you feel weak to face the day that's just begun?

How many times have you said to yourself that you are at the edge and you cannot take it anymore?

However, you keep going, day after day at your job, dealing with your family and financial issues and so on...

It is peculiar how humans have the ability of not giving up, even when it seems they are at the end of their strength.

You've probably heard more than once about children and babies found alive after several days buried under a landslide. It is as if they refused to give up their fight or their life.

We all remember the suffering of women who live in countries where even the basic rights are denied to them.

Women prohibited to attend school, to have proper medical care, or a minimal humane treatment.

Women in their teen age, or even childhood, are given in marriage to men who are most of the time much older than they are.

They have their dreams shattered, their desires despised.

Women who are beat up for no reason or for something.

Because they've dared having a baby girl while their husbands were expecting a baby boy.

Because they've tried to be out in the street by themselves. Because they've planned to run away. Because they've risen their voice tone.

Bad treatment is routine and nobody cares. What is done inside of a house by a man to his spouse or children is nobody's business.

As the years go by, these women collect in their body the proof of all physical abuse: missing teeth, scars, hematomas, etc.

Some run away from life because they cannot see any perspective of positive change in their future.

Other, more courageous, choose to establish objectives for themselves.

Objectives that keep them alive and away from giving up: their children's lives, their own freedom or their country's.

Like a rock, they face troubled winds. They cry, they moan, but they do not give up.

How many aggressions can a human body take? What is the limit?

Some still carry generosity in their souls to help people who they see as less fortunate then themselves.

A generosity not shaken or contaminated by disappointments and delusions of their own daily lives.

And, when they have the opportunity for making something on someone else's benefit, they give themselves until their own lives are sacrificed.

They are living examples. That is why, when your strength is weakening, think you still have energy inside of yourself.

Never allow yourself to be defeated at all. One day, scenery changes. Night turns into dawn.

Wait for the new rays of light and don't give up under any circumstance.

The sun may take a while to come up, but it always does, caressing life and rebuilding hope.

Wait without abandoning your fight. Tomorrow, tomorrow could be the day you will be free of all pain and suffering.

Wait.
