ícone The four seasons of life

Have you noticed how perfect nature is? Nature and its perfection are undeniable evidences of the harmony that rules the Creation. As in a cosmic poem, God rhymes human life with the rhythms of the different worlds.

At birth, Spring bursts in with its colors and perfumes. All is good. The skin is vivid. Hair and eyes shine, the smiles come easily. Everything translates into hope and happiness.

Delicate Spring, like the children that make us smile with their gestures. Time when everything seems to smile at us and no worries exist in our souls.

The youth days correspond to the peak of Summer. A season of heat and beauty blessed by occasional showers. The sun warms the souls and the promises are renewed.

Teenagers believe they can do it all. They will lead the revolutions and will bring justice.

They bring their souls full of enthusiasm. They are impatient and vibrant. Their impulses, despite strong, can be temporary... like the Summer storms.

But life goes by quickly. One day - what a surprise - Summer strength is gone.

A quick look in the mirror reveals wrinkles. The mirror reflects graying hair, but also maturity and a better understanding of our existence. This marks the arrival of Autumn.

The key word during this season is completeness. Autumn takes us to a time of reflection and profound beauty. Its inspiring views - of golden leaves and incredible sky colors - translate well this moment of our lives.

During the Autumn of our existence, the typical childhood innocence or the uncontrolled energy of our youth are gone, but present are the wisdom acquired during the years, the experience and drive to enjoy each moment of our lives.

Finally, one day Winter strikes, the most feared of all the seasons. Many fear Winter as much as they fear aging. However many forget the mysterious beauty of the fields covered in snow.

Time to retreat? Partially yes. But Winter is also the time to share experiences.

Who said being old is sad? It can be a happy and warm period, like a winter night by a fireplace with loved ones.

It can also be the time of hot chocolate, gentle smiles, quiet reading, and generosity with children and grandchildren. One should simply not allow the cold to freeze up the soul.

We will be happier if we enjoy the beauties of each season. From Spring, we will keep spontaneity and happiness.

From Summer, the energy and the drive. From Autumn, the thoughtfulness. From Winter, the life experience shared with loved ones.

The teachings from the seasons go beyond. If pessimism strikes when thinking of aging, dismiss it immediately.

Remember that after Winter comes Spring, and the cycle starts all over again.

We also start over again. Our paths will not end with the end of Winter. There will be other lives, in other seasons. A new life will start in a new Spring.

After our body dies, our lives will carry on in other life dimensions. We will be plentiful and beautiful. All it takes is love. Plenty of love.

To love the people, the flowers, the animals, the worlds that peacefully exist. Above all, to love the Divine Creation. To love so much as to transform life in an eternal Spring.
