ícone Special being

There once was a famous key note speaker who started his lecture by holding a one hundred reais bill and asking the two hundred people audience spread around the room who wanted that bill.

Several hands started to pop up immediately. In fact, everyone in the room wanted that bill.

The speaker then creased the bill and once again asked the crowd who wished to have it. All hands were still raised.

He kept on creasing it a little more and after a while insisted on the same question.

The situation did not change. Everybody still wanted the bill, and now was looking forward to hearing the speaker’s decision on who would get it.

Nevertheless, he placed the bill on a table and carefully started to unfold it, trying to give it a better look. In this meantime he slowly started his speech

What we have just experienced shall be taken as great lesson by all of us. No matter what I do to the money bill you will still want it because it does not lose its value.

Even though it is creased, folded, and wrinkled, it will still be worth one hundred reais.

Likewise, we also get creased, and wrinkled throughout our lives, due to the disillusions we lead ourselves into, and to life’s own difficulties, allowing the fatigue to take over.

We sometimes bend ourselves because of painful moments. Other times, we let ourselves fall apart due to financial losses or to a friend’s farewell and we then assume a sick, rusty aspect.

It is like if we allow ourselves to dull by the pain we are suffering.

The upcoming years will mark our faces, changing the spark in our eyes and the softening of our skin. Our hands will lose their flexibility and our legs will take a little longer to make a move.

Our memory may play some tricks on us, misleading us to change people’s names, and to forget important dates or facts.

Some other times, due to the wrong decisions we take, we may feel like dirty money bills. That is when sorrow comes and tries to take over our minds.

We then feel like our value has been diminished, like we are men and women with no value at all.

That is not true, though. No matter how dirty, beaten, and creased we are, we will always be valuable beings. We will always bring along a special value with us.

And that is because everyone of us is special. We are immortal Spirits, and if while walking the road to perfection we pass through swamps, or lonely and muddy roads we will still be special.

No matter our appearance, God keeps on loving us and giving us the renewed road of opportunities every single day.

Thus, do not hassle nor fall into depression by discovering you are full of failures; someone who has committed mistakes.

It is always time restart, and today is the best moment. Raise your head. Make up your mind, and change.

If you have done something bad, go fix what you can. Go set the course to the right position.

If you are upset, hurt, disoriented, wipe the dust off the feelings that keep you sick. Observe the sunrise and realizing how special and unique you are, head towards the road that will lead you to happiness and give you the will to live.

As much disoriented and desolated you may be, there is not a single being on Earth who does not have someone to love him/her.

Think about it! And give value to it. It may be the love of a mother, a father or a brother. It may be the love of a wife, husband, son, relative, or a friend.

It may even be the love of a dog, a cat or any other pet.

If by any chance you have found that no one loves you, remember that above and beyond us all the One who created you loves you unconditionally.

Thus, send the sadness away. Quit desolation. Raise your head up high and begin your life again.

Remember: today is the best day of your entire life. And you are a very, very special being.
