France’s former monarch Louis XIV based his reign upon the divine right of kings. A reign of monarchic absolutism.

        Known as the Sun King, he showed himself indifferent to the crown’s and the people’s future.

        He used to declare the deluge would happen after his reign. He lived all sorts of pleasures and abuses.

        He once was told about a conspiracy against his throne and asked the informant to bring him a list with the names of all the ones involved so that he could sentence them to death for crime against His Highness.

        The list was so forth made and presented to him. Those who were conspiring against him had a cross sign right beside their names.

        The king carefully analyzed the list. All of a sudden, he seemed to look at something in particular, and, visibly surprised, dropped the list on the desk.

        Deeply disturbed, he declared: I cannot condemn these men. They are marked by the instrument with which The Innocent one was killed.

        History tells that he forgave all of them.

        Despite his many despotic acts, at that very moment, the king was touched by the barbaric symbol with which truth was meant to be silenced at the Calvary episode.

        It was a learning moment. A life lesson for other lives.

        Likewise, all of us face serious decision moments in our lives.

        How many times have we acted incorrectly for not having noticed Christ’s message addressed to our minds and hearts?

        All human beings experiment such psychological chances for growth. These challenges are meant for our own enlightenment and   achievement of wisdom, but unfortunately we do not always know how to take advantage of them.

        The moments for learning with the lessons provided by life are very personal. It is important that we know how to identify them, so that we can enjoy them, achieving maturity.

        It is necessary that we pay attention to what surrounds us.

        Here we may find a friend deep in debts made by his own negligence. That is an opportunity for us to help him/her.

        There we may see someone crying for having lost love due to his selfishness. That is an opportunity for us to learn about renouncement and ponderation, to set things clear, and invite him to try to change, renew himself.

        It is important for us to live every moment intensely, blooming wherever we are at, with whatever we have, without concerns about being somewhere else or in a different time or circumstance.

        The best moment is the one we live now, as it is a moment for building our future of happiness and perfection.

        Thank God for the opportunity you have for sowing. Tomorrow will be the harvest time.

        Enjoy the hours and spread hope wherever you pass by.

        Remember that the river of opportunities runs and its waters never return in the same circumstances or in the same situations.
