Dear God, I know that I am still an evolving being and that many are the times when I deviate from the objectives that You have set in order for me to reach happiness.

        I also know that not always I get to do the good I wish, and many are the times in which I do the evil that I would no longer want to be doing.

        Because of that I come to You, Lord, praying for strength, courage and clarity of mind in order to get more things done right than wrong. If I do make a mistake, may this be out of ignorance or weakness but never out of a personal deliberation.

        I come to You in order to ask You not to allow me, at any time, to lose my will to live, despite the moments of pain and sorrow, which I will surely have to get through.

        May I cultivate the optimism, even when the future does not look bright.

        I ask for Your help to teach me to be romantic, even if inside my heart seems to be silent.

        Lord, help me not to give up on friendship, even when my friends have left me alone in moments when I needed them most.

        May I cultivate the habit and joy of helping others, even when many of them are ungrateful and unable to give back.

        Teach me how to keep my balance in those tough moments when everything seems to conspire for my deviation.

        Lord, may I give love with no expectations of retribution or recognition from my beloved ones.

        May I get through life with a sparkle in my eyes even in the moments when darkness blurs my  sight.

        Though I know defeats are inevitable in my path, may I face the challenges of life with enthusiasm.

        Allow me to always use my discernment and reason, even when I am overcome with strong and constant passions in my intimacy.

        Above all, Lord, may I always seek justice before my own interests.

        Allow me to preserve the love for my family, even if it demands constant effort and renunciation for us to remain in harmony.

        Teach me to see the good and bright side of life, despite bitter tears that spurt from the depths of my soul.

        Lord, may I never lose the will to inherit the stars, even though I live in a small and inferior planet.

        And above all...

        May I never forget that You are the supreme intelligence and that Your love for me is endless.

        Likewise, may I never forget that You provide for my needs, protect me always and only want my improvement.

        May I understand those who are weaker than me...

        And not judge my fellow human beings...

        May I educate my feelings and develop my intelligence...

        And, finally, may I never forget that I am an immortal Spirit... and that happiness is my own conquest.

        Whenever sadness knocks insistently at your door, take a moment to meditate...

        Try to tune up with the forces of goodness which rest above the thick clouds and feed your intimacy with celestial harmony.

        Do not allow yourself to be involved in sadness, because it will prevent you from seeing the hope that insists on presenting you with a beautiful and new day to come.
