ícone Facing depression

Considered by specialists as the illness of the twenty-first century, 15% of the world population already suffers from depression. Depression is a state of mind caused by many factors. The main one, often ignored by specialists, is in the centre of the immortal Spirit.

The eternal Spirit is its own heir. When a Spirit reborns, it brings experiences it has accumulated for millenniums. This is a consequence of the Cause and Effect Law.

In a general way, a Spirit that feels guilty might unconsciously create a mechanism of self-punishment. It is aware of having broken the Divine Laws; therefore, it does not allow itself to be happy.

Thus, in our unconsciousness, called ID by Freud, we have mental clichés that are usually the causes of serious depression.

The only possible way to get over this situation is through profound and serious changes of attitude.

Due to inadequate behaviour, parents often build the basis of depression during their children’s first years.

When education is based upon material matters, focusing only social projection and financial security, the basis of depression is already being created.

A simple example relies on the fact that parents and educators insist on spreading the idea that success belongs to those who reach a relevant position in society and that winning in life means holding an important position or having a lot of money to spend.

From the cradle, children learn calculus, hear adults talking about investments and interests, they soon learn to compare their toys with their friends’ toys, their parents’ car to the neighbours’ car, and so on.

From early age, they are encouraged to live in a world of competition, where to possess is more important than to be.

Once they become adults, they get into their professional world unprepared to deal with the emotions and weaknesses brought along from their other lives.

They will perfectly know how to calculate how much their colleagues earn more than them, but they will not be able to subtract a simple offence from a working colleague.

They will know how to fight for the first position at the company where they work, but they will not know how to tolerate the frustration of a non-corresponded affection.

They will be able to draw a brilliant scheme to raise profits for the company, but they will not  know how to overcome the distance between them and their dear relatives.

They will be able to create efficient strategies to ascend themselves in a hierarchical system, taking relevant positions, but they will not be able to work in groups.

When they realize they are not capable of none of these deeds, they become frustrated and believe themselves worthless, weak, useless.

At the end, depression appears. The root of these concerns lies on the immortal being, and it can be the cause of several problems of our days.

Another common mistake is to forget to give our kids the idea of God as a loving, merciful and fair Father.

If they grow up with the certainty of God’s love, they will trust that better days will come, even when facing starless nights.

They must be certain that God does not want punishment or death to the ones who make mistakes.

People who love God never despair, even knowing they owe to the law which rules life, because they are sure God’s only desire is that they get it right under His sovereign laws.

If your heart tells that you have made mistakes, and open wounds stop you from being happy, it is time to have a moment of reflection.

It is time to open your soul to the Creator, recognizing mistakes and asking for mercy, it is time to start all over again.

As an answer, you will certainly hear a loving Father softly saying these words:

Son, everyday is time to renovate the trust I have in your redemption, in your learning process, in your progress, as a son of light that you are.

As long as the sun rises, you can be certain that the Creator’s invitation is still on, to the hearts of all His beloved sons.
